As 1 Thessalonians 5:21 instructs us to "test everything; hold fast what is good," this mandate carries particular weight in our current era of increasing symbolic messaging and prophecies. We must actively seek God's wisdom through prayer, study of His Word, and fellowship with other believers, testing everything against Scripture. While remaining alert and watchful of world events, our ultimate security lies not in decoding symbols or predicting exact dates, but in the unchanging sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ and our readiness for His imminent return.
